‘Roche Gratte Fesse’ loosely translates to “Rock scratching ass” in Creole. How it go that name one can only wonder. But it was my friend Chris who once spotted a large boulder up on the mountainside near where we live in Anse la Mouche in the Seychelles. He banged on about getting up there for a few days and after a few attempts, getting lost in the dark and tangled in gigantic spider webs, he made it. He chopped a few notches in the trees to remember the route up and asked us to join him one evening.

A steep scramble through the jungle rewarded us with some spectacular sunset views and a chance to test out my new Samyang 12mm f2.0 lens.
