During 2017 I was fortunate to be based on a remote island in the Indian Ocean along with a few scientists who were monitoring and protecting the local marine life.
They were planning a trip to visit a remote atoll along with a South African filmmaker to document the capturing and tagging of the various sea turtles in the area. Luckily they had space for an extra person in their boat.
So we headed out, kayak in tow with all the gear, in order to cross the shallows while the tide remained high.
