Just off the coast of Cape Town, lies a historic hunting ground, where waters oscillate between freezing and tropical, dictated by the capricious dance of weather and sea. At first glance, it appears a vast expanse of blue (or green), a watery desert. But as you delve deeper, a tapestry of life unravels, teeming beneath the surface and soaring through the air. After days spent chasing yellow-fin tuna, serendipity graced us one late afternoon. A majestic pod of Pilot Whales surfaced. Graceful creatures that quickly remind you of your own size when you slip into the water to swim alongside them. We were but mere spectators in their liquid domain, humbled by their timeless presence.
